Researching a Manitoban Community

Students are researching a city or town in Manitoba as part of our Social Studies unit, Living in Manitoba.

After they have found their information on the internet, they will use a program of their choice (eg. Microsoft Office Publisher or Power Point, Photostory, iMovie, etc.) to present their community to the class.

Le Saisons

Students in grade four are studying the four seasons, weather, and clothing. They designed a poster with four types of weather and drew pictures to go along with it, and then labelled the type of clothing worn.

Art in January

Step 1: Use crayon to completely cover the paper with a winter scene.
Step 2: Dilute white paint with water and paint over the whole picture.

This is our hallway bulletin board display.

Extra Science

We got to do Science with Mr. Trevor at Hapnot Collaiget yesterday.  At 3:45 we caught a bus. There were 10 people:  4 grade 4s, 4 grade 5s, 2 grade 6s. The helper’s name was Brett.
We learned about the eye.
We learned about needing safety goggles.
What pertecs your eyes? Eye lids, eye lashes, eye brows, blink, tears, skull.
We learned about wear every thing in your eye is.
Mr. Trevor was talking about an elephant that didn’t have enough tooth paste so he put some stuff in a water bottle and he made red and blue tooth paste.
Then some of us took the bus back to the school and some walked home.

Bombers Lose 5-2

The Bombers lost to the Nipawin Hawks Friday, Novermber 23, 5 to 2.It was cool when Hayden Dawes was fighting and when Brett Boehm scored the first goal for the Bombers and the fans threw teddy bears on the ice.  I went with my sister Keesha to the game. I had a blue Gatorade and gum during the game. My buddy Cameron wasn’t playing because of a knee injury and he was working the 50/50. I had fun! Our class watched the game with Miss Kubat’s grade ones and The Reminder took our picture!
